How to run the kiosk as a full-screen app

Updated June 2026

You can pin the kiosk to a device's home screen, or install it as a desktop app, so it opens straight to your clock-in screen in its own full-screen window with no tabs or address bar. It's the tidiest way to leave a tablet out all day, and it means fewer stray taps out of the kiosk.

iPad or iPhone

Use Safari (this doesn't work from Chrome on Apple devices). Open your kiosk URL, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. Confirm with Add. Launch it from the new icon and it fills the screen.

Android tablet

Open the kiosk URL in Chrome, tap the menu, then Add to Home screen (some devices say Install app). Open it from the icon to run full-screen.

Desktop (Chrome or Edge)

Open the kiosk URL and click the install icon at the right of the address bar (a small monitor with a downward arrow), then Install. It opens in its own window you can leave up on a shared computer.

To find your kiosk URL, go to Dashboard and use Open kiosk or Copy URL in the Kiosk card. One more thing for a tablet left out all day: set the device's auto-lock so the screen never sleeps. Note that installing removes the browser's own bars but doesn't change the on-screen keyboard's size.
