How to set up auto-close for missed clock-outs
Updated June 2026
From Dashboard, open Settings.
Rolling hours mode (default)
Set Rolling cutoff (hours). Open entries older than that get capped at start_at + cutoff (never at "now"). Default: 12 hours.
Daily local time mode
Change Auto-close mode to Daily at local time. Set Daily close time in your workspace's time zone. Yesterday's still-open entries cap at that time on the entry's start date.
Auto-closed entries are flagged. Review them at More tools → Needs review.
