What this is
A single-shift calculator that subtracts an unpaid lunch break from total clocked time. Type clock-in, clock-out, and break length in minutes, get net paid hours in both decimal (e.g., 7.5) and HH:MM (7:30) formats.
When to use it
One-off shift calculation, sanity-checking a payroll entry, manually computing a shift's net hours for a freelancer or part-timer who doesn't punch a clock.
How it works
Type clock-in time (24-hour or 12-hour both work). Type clock-out. Type unpaid break in minutes. The net hours update as you type. If clock-out is earlier than clock-in, the shift is treated as crossing midnight.
For a full week, see the time card calculator, same math, seven rows.
