Jibble is genuinely free for unlimited users, ships a polished kiosk app, and explicitly markets to nonprofits, which is rare in this category. The product itself is competent: the timer works, the reports work, the mobile app is good. Where Kangaroo Clock fits instead
Jibble's facial recognition isn't an accident, it's the design center. The product assumes the admin wants to verify that the person punching in is actually the person, and that they're physically where they should be. That's a fine posture for a moving company or a security firm.
It's the wrong posture for a volunteer coordinator. Asking a 75-year-old volunteer to let an app scan their face on a tablet is a great way to lose them. Kangaroo Clock exists for the segment where the trust model goes the other direction: workers are doing this voluntarily or part-time for a small team, and the admin just needs clean hours at the end of the month, not a surveillance trail.

Stay with Jibble if you actually want photo or GPS verification, for example, if you run a multi-location service business and need to confirm a tech actually arrived at a job site.
