What Clockify does well
Clockify is genuinely strong at what it was built for: tracking billable hours against clients and projects. The free tier is generous, the time-tracking UI is mature, and the reporting is solid if you're a freelancer or agency invoicing clients. If your workflow is "start the timer, pick a project, stop the timer, send an invoice," Clockify is a perfectly fine tool.

Where Kangaroo Clock fits instead
Kangaroo Clock was built for the teams that don't fit Clockify's shape: volunteer coordinators, restaurants with part-time staff, event organizers, tutoring centers. Workers don't make accounts. Hours come out as a clean CSV. There are no projects or clients because nobody's billing.
The wedge is two simple things together: pricing that doesn't scale with headcount, and a clock-in flow that works for people who would refuse to sign up for yet another tool. If you've watched your volunteer roster grow and your Clockify bill follow it, or if your staff just won't reliably hit "start timer," that's the gap.

Stay with Clockify if you bill clients by the hour, if your workflow centers on project codes and rates, or if you actually want the timer-style start/stop interaction (KC is purely a clock-in/clock-out tap). Clockify is also the right call if you need deep integrations with invoicing tools, KC ends at a CSV.

Yes, free at launch for everyone. Every feature available to every workspace. Paid tiers will come later, but the model will be flat pricing or wide worker-count bands, never per-seat.
Can I import my Clockify data into Kangaroo Clock?
Not via direct integration. You can export Clockify's CSV and upload it through Workers → Upload CSV; we'll dedupe to unique people.
Does Kangaroo Clock track billable hours?
